Information for Spectators

Set in the landscaped parkland of the Borde Hill Estate, just north of Haywards Heath, the Horse Trials provides an excellent day out. Explore the park whilst watching the three phases of competition unfold.

All three tests take place on one day with different levels of competition throughout the weekend.

Previous competitors included Olympic medallists Tina Cook and Andrew Nicholson as well as International Riders Issy Taylor, Dan Jocelyn and Tim Price competing alongside talented local riders.

Starting at 8.30am the Dressage is a set of compulsory movements ridden in front of a judge who will judge a whole section.

Competitors then Show Jump a course of coloured knock down fences before proceeding to the Cross Country phase over fixed natural fences.

Entry is via the Borde Hill Gardens main gate.

Tradestands around the Show Jumping arena provide a variety of food options available throughout the day. Car Parking is situated close to the main arena.
